Simple Pleasures: Sourdough Baking and Smoked Salmon Toast
Back to our Danish summer house, we are done wintering...
I'm back in Denmark, in our summer house (where my Substack channel was born last November), and so far, I've spent most of my time deep cleaning, washing, decluttering, and organizing. Despite that, I've had to make time for some shopping and simple cooking since we still need to eat. I won't be sharing a meal plan this week as we're still settling in, but expect one next week, as usual.
For those new to my journey, here's a brief backdrop. My Danish husband and I spent five wonderful years in Dallas, Texas, before making our way to Europe in 2020. Here in Denmark, we have a charming summer house (or a cabin, as it would be called in the US) that we lovingly renovated between 2020 and 2021. We're continuously making small improvements to it. This kitchen, a space I personally renovated and equipped with all my cooking tools, truly feels like home. It's here that I dive into my cooking adventures with the greatest joy and comfort. I'm looking forward to sharing more stories and insights about our Danish lifestyle in the months to come.
